Queensland Heritage Council - Expressions of interest
Expressions of interest to fill six positions on the Queensland Heritage Council closed 7 September 2012. The successful applicants will be announced later in 2012.
The Queensland Heritage Council is a 12 member independent statutory authority set up to assist in achieving the objectives of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992.
The Heritage Council provides advice to the Queensland Government on strategic and high priority matters relating to Queensland’s heritage, and also decides which places are entered in or removed from the Queensland Heritage Register.
Individuals with a strong interest in protecting Queensland’s heritage were encouraged to nominate for the six positions on the council.
Being a part of the council provides members a unique opportunity to provide input into the growth and development of the state, while ensuring Queensland’s valuable heritage sites are protected.

- law
- local government
- property management.
