Working for DES

If you’re highly motivated, results-oriented and committed to the protection of Queensland’s natural environment, a career with DES may be for you.

Industry placements and vacation employment

The department enters partnership arrangements with universities, which require that students undertake full-time employment for up to 13 weeks during semester, and also offers opportunities for paid vacation employment.

Volunteering with the department will give you the chance to contribute directly to the protection and management of our natural environment.
