The introduction of invasive plants and animals to the Fraser Island World Heritage area is having a negative impact on some values.

Invasive plants and animals are negatively impacting some forest and health systems on the Fraser Island World Heritage area by changing the structure of plant communities as a result of competition.

Invasive plants and animals can also affect native wildlife by displacing species through competition for resources.
